| welp, i just spent an awesome evening with my kirk girls, with Adam and Jeff, and it was amazing! mafia, food, telephone charades, silly jokes, and tetherball. it was awesome! and of course, hannah, kelly, and I swung together. it was grand. i love my church girls. they are just like sisters to me. it's like we are all sisters, so we would be like quadrooplets x3. haha, anyways, i am going to superly miss lydia and emily. gosh, it's gonna be hard to say goodbye, but in a short 9 months they will be back and we can be retarded together again. welp, better go. have a great day everyone! and i never found out who was the powdered doughnut in the second round of mafia. i guess i will never know. if you were, comment me! haha, love you all! bye! | | |
| well, i am back minnesotta/iowa. it was partially fun, partially heart breaking. all together though i had a pretty good time. here are some of the things that i did...
1. saw the scariest chef figurine in the first hotel we stayed at. he was presenting the coffee, but he looked like he wanted to eat me.
2. heard more about norwegians and family history than i have ever heard before. some cool, some extremely boring.
3. stayed in 2 cities with about 400 residents.
4. slept in 4 different hotels. hotel life isn't the greatest, as it turns out.
5. rode in the back of a pickup truck, not even on a seat. that was my rebel side. haha, it was only driving around Peterson, a city with 400 people.
6. shot a gun by a corn field. i have taken riflery before at camp, but i had never shot one by a cornfield. it's more fun.
7. saw miles and miles and miles of corn fields. and then more miles.
8. went to Mall of America, the largest mall in the world. it has it's own zip code and 5 stories. it was incredible. i pretty much almost got lost. it was sweet.
9. went to my first funeral that was for someone that i was really close to. it was kinda hard, yet i felt at peace through it, which was definitly a gift from God.
10. met many family members that i had never met before in my life.
11. watched my grammie be buried. not the best part of the trip to say the least.
12. had real Iowa corn. very tasty, but not kind to the braces.
13. rode an electric lawn mower for the first time. it was grand.
14. only read to chapter 17 in Huckleberry Finn. i am officially worried. haha.
15. Got a Texas shirt (kylie, i know you appreciate that).
16. I waved to about 30 people in Peterson, and every one of them waved back.
17. saw some of the prettiest views of nature ever, surprisingly.
so that was my trip pretty much. i am glad to be home. now i have many things to do before school starts. my joy overflows. haha, love you all!! have a great day!

| i am giving my two weeks notice to quit at albertsons tomorrow morning. i know, it's only been a month and a half that i've been working there, but it's just not a place that i want to be working for many reasons. i want to explore my options for jobs, and i am looking at working for a vets right now, because they wouldn't hire over the summer, but they will for the school year. i might just concentrate on my schoolwork though and look at school as my job this year. that may be the better plan. we'll see.
I am not ready for school to start. only on chapter 5 on huckleberry finn. a little scared. oh well.
going up to minnesotta on saturday for one of my grandma's funeral. the other one isn't going to have a funeral for non mentionable reasons. it is going to be difficult, but God is still comforting my family and walking with us through it. it's going to be alright.
I love shawn mcdonald. he is definitly one of my favorites. yep.
well, better go try to advance a little bit in huckleberry finn before i start panicking.
